Therapy for Children, Teens, and Families

Children

I provide assessment and therapy for children and families who are dealing with anxiety, depression, aggression, control issues, separation anxiety, school phobia, trauma, adoption complications, grief, autism, bullying issues, divorce, and many other challenges. Art therapy provides a safe and enjoyable outlet. A relaxed atmosphere fosters meaningful therapeutic work.

I offer an empathic and knowledgable perspective that helps parents to support healthy child development. The parent-child relationship is an important tool for promoting growth in children. Due to the fact that parenting is stressful and highly emotional, parents need a lot of support in order to make use of the wisdom they possess about what is best for their children.

Early intervention helps to strengthen children so that they develop resilience and a solid foundation to face the social, behavioral and relational demands of later developmental stages.

Teenagers

I support teens in dealing with difficulties relating to school and peer pressures, grief, family stress, and a range of mental health disorders. Goals may include enhancing self-esteem, opening communication, decreasing feelings of isolation, learning how to tolerate distress, improving emotional regulation and gaining stability.
